FAQ

  • My frames are custom built locally in Asheville, NC from 100% up-cycled wood. I partnered with a local construction company to take their wood waste and give it a second life.

Each frame is a shadow box, meaning the print is lifted 3/4" off the glass. The glass is museum-grade and UV protected. A dust jacket is secured to the back to ensure each piece remains sealed. All of these measures ensure the longevity and preservation of your print. The piece will come with hardware already attached so it’s ready to hang the moment you receive it.

Frames available in alder, oak, ash and maple wood.

Although I don’t have a framing option for purchase on my website, please get in touch if you would like to have your piece framed or have further questions about the process.

If you are local and would like your piece framed, please expect to arrange pickup or delivery. If shipping is needed, customer covers shipping cost.

  • No, all of my work are handmade fine art pieces that are linocut or screen printed on a variety of the highest quality printmaking papers. They are not digital reproductions, rather, my linocut prints are hand-carved into a block of lino. Each print is individually made by rolling ink onto the raised image on the block, then placing and pressing the paper to transfer the image. All of my screen prints are individually made by pulling custom colored ink through a fine silkscreen onto the art paper by hand.

Given the handmade nature of the lino-printing and screen printing process slight nuances between each print edition can be expected ensuring it is a truly original piece of artwork. These nuances enhance the beauty of each individual piece that has been created.

  • Every piece is shipped directly from my studio.

Smaller works (11x14 or less) ship in clear wrapping for protection with thick backing board, then slipped inside a robustly strengthened cardboard envelope to protect against bending.

Larger works (18x18 or larger) ship rolled with kraft paper in thick, reinforced kraft mail tubes.

I use as many repurposed and recycled elements in my packaging as possible without compromising strength and durability.

  • Yes, all of my prints are limited editions. Each print is editioned in pencil on the bottom left of the print.

The top number reflects the number of the print created within the run and the bottom number is the size of the print run as a whole. (For example, the first print in a run of ten would be marked 1/10, the last being labeled 10/10).

Once all in the edition have been printed the block is retired and will never be used again.

  • All of my original prints are hand-signed and titled in pencil on the front of the artwork.

The limited edition number in the bottom left, title of the piece bottom center, and signature and year of creation bottom right.
